Moneystown National School opens each morning at 8.40am. Pupils arrive to school between 8.40am and 8.50am when school begins. Classes start at 8.50am and finish at 1.30pm for infants and 2.30pm for all others. Our breaks are at 10.30am and 12.30pm
Parking at all pick up and drop off times is in front of the church or across in the community centre car park. The gate of the Community Centre must be locked by the last person leaving every day at 2.30pm. No parking is permitted along the school wall at anytime as this makes it hazardous for the pupils who avail of the school bus. Please note: Only staff cars should be parked in car park outside our P.E. hall.
MNS operates a book rental scheme for all students in the school. This gives parents an opportunity to rent books from the school. All books and workbooks are supplied by the school at the cost of €55 per student annually. Participation in the Book Scheme is optional.
A high level of parental involvement is a key feature of MNS which makes it a very special place for all. The PA committee is a group of parents who work with the teachers and staff as a support to our school events. The PA are involved in a wide range of activities in the school, including coffee mornings, fundraising events for the school and our all important Sports Day. The PA committee is a great way to get involved in school activities and ultimately support our children together. Membership is open to all parents and guardians
